Offley Infant and Junior School

NEW BUILD / EXTENSION

Under Cheshire County Council’s Transforming Learning Communities initiative, TNW were appointed to undertake a feasibility study to combine Offley Infant and Offley Junior School to form an all through, 1.5 form entry primary school with a linked foundation stage unit.

The proposal involved the construction of a new accommodation block, which links the infant and junior schools together, and houses a new central entrance with associated administration facilities and resources hub. The scheme enhances the existing circulation and facilitates future community development, should funding become available. The Nursery will be run by a private provider who will move into surplus accommodation.

The proposals were carefully phased to maintain the operation of the School throughout and minimise disruption. The scheme received funding through Cheshire East Borough Council and was completed in 2011.
